Online Registration Begins July 21 and Ends August 1 - Walk-in Registration August 7
Online registration for the 2014-15 school year begins Monday, July 21, and will close August 1.
Walk-in registration will take place August 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. for BES, CES, GES, GMS & GHS. Walk-in registration for GIS will be held August 7 at Ball Elementary, from 3 to 6 p.m. Parents of returning students who choose to attend walk-in registration will be directed to complete their child’s registration online in their school’s computer lab. Staff will be on hand to assist if needed. New families will still need to fill out paperwork, however, as they are not in the district’s Skyward system.
Online Registration Tutorial is found here and under Parent/Families drop down. Transcript is also available under the Parent/Familes drop down menu.
School is almost back in session and the SchoolKidz School Kits are arriving. Please be sure that if you ordered a kit for grades K-8 that you pick it up at the Glenwood Intermediate School at the Field house. (Drive along the west side of the Field house and pull around back. The entrance is a large roller door on the northwest corner.) The date for kit pickup is August 7th between the hours of 3-6 p.m. For those who forgot to order a kit for grades K-4th, there are extras so feel free to come and buy one. They are on a first come first served basis. Please note that we do not have any extra kits for grades 5th-8th. Thank you and see you there. If you have any questions you can contact Heather Hammon at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Titan Superheroes Program Expanding to BES, CES & GIS
Due to the immense popularity of the Titan Superheroes program that was piloted at Glenwood Elementary this past school year, the District would like to expand the program to include 4th-5th grade boys at Ball Elementary, Chatham Elementary, and GIS next school year - and we're looking for sponsors!
The Superheroes program was the idea of GHS student, Eli Day. Together with his mother, Crystal Day, a fourth grade teacher at GES, and Pam Hogan, PE teacher at GES, an innovative program was designed to empower boys with the skills needed to face challenges in today’s society while developing leadership skills with an emphasis on respect, self-discipline, positive attitude, and sportsmanship. If you would like to help sponsor this program, click here for details!
Glenwood Elementary Opening Doors Later Next Year
Beginning with the 2014-15 school year, Glenwood Elementary will open its doors for students at 8:20 a.m. for both bus and car riders. This is a change from the current school year. Opening the school's doors a bit later will allow its teachers more time for collaboration and professional development. Please note the change as you plan for the next school year.
